To others she is the Urban evangelist, to me she is my go- to person. She is my safe space , I can be helpless around her and not worry about what she will think of me, because being around her comes with peace and creates an atmosphere that surpasses human understanding . What you see on social media, all that grace and patience to respond to everyone is who she literally is to many . Mainza is surely a woman God picked to carry women’s pain, to uplift women of all walks of life. We have cried, laughed together and celebrated meaningful moments in our lives, none of these phases would make sense without each other’s presence.
The biggest blessing is seeing her carrying the grace to be a pillar to many through her Truth tea series, where I have seen women come together and cry out to God and feeling God's spirit in one place. If I am to pick a verse it would be 1 Peter 2:9; ‘But you are the ones chosen by God, chosen for high calling of priestly work ‘. She is the chosen one.
Her deep connection with God is so admirable and I am grateful to be part of her life. Seeing her journey into becoming a beloved daughter of the most high gives me so much pride. Proverbs 31:25, ‘strength & dignity are her Clothing, she is confident about her future.'
It is indeed a truth tea, because she has served us her true life story, opened her book of life to show that life isn’t always rosy, it comes with experience and yet one who choses to go through life with God will surely see His goodness. I am personally blessed to have you in my life, thank you for being a sister, a prayer partner but also a mother to my children who adore you greatly. The Urban Evangelist ministry has been a source of hope and strength for me during some of the most challenging times in my life. Life seemed to be going left, and on top of that, I was struggling with a serious health issue, and fear started to take over. But one sunday morning Truth tea episode, a message was shared about God’s healing power. It reminded me that Jesus is still our Healer and that His promises never fail.
I began to pray with more faith, declaring God’s Word over my life. Each episode encouraged me to trust Him completely, even when things didn’t make sense. Most times when an episode airs, it will focus on a scripture thats been heard many times before, but each time i listen in, its explained in a way i never heard it. In a way i needed to hear it.
Over time, I saw God’s hand at work—not just in my physical health, but in my heart. He healed me in ways I didn’t even realize I needed. Today, I stand as a testimony that God is faithful, and I’m forever grateful for the ministry of The Urban Evangelist that helped strengthen my faith.

Through her ministry, I have had many encounters with the Holy Spirit that have changed my life and contributed to my growth as a Christian.

The first time I met Mainza was in 2016, at the Miracle Life Family Church. I was her senior at Rhema Bible Training Centre and I immediately fell in love with her spirit. Our friendship gradually grew into a beautiful sisterhood and I’m so honored to be a part of her life as she is in mine.
When God led her to start Truth Tea as the Urban Evangelist it all made sense to me. She has been called to share Jesus boldly in a space that is so unique and beautiful to experience. I’m always challenged, encouraged, chastised through her ministry and I am so excited for where God is taking her.
When I look at Mainza, I see a woman who has literally lived out 1 Corinthians 13. I have seen a woman who has given so much meaning to the word “Restoration “. The Urban Evangelist’s ministry has truly blessed my life. From the moment I connected with her , I knew it was something special. God had began speaking to us about how her ministry would bloom, her ministry with Women and her impact but what’s truly incredible is that I’ve witnessed it happening right before my eyes. And it has unfolded just as God had revealed it. and it was nothing short of awe-inspiring.
Watching God’s Word manifest in such a tangible way has been a powerful experience, this is why every time I would see her minister tears of Joy and the presence of the HOLY SPIRIT would come upon me as i witness the manifestation of GOD upon her life and ministry.
From her ministry as Mainza Nkomesha Kawana to The Urban Evangelist, It has deepened my faith. Knowing that God not only speaks to us but also fulfills His promises. The Urban Evangelist is a rare and precious vessel of God, constantly reminding me of the importance of being Christ-like in everything we do. Her journey of faith is one I have personally witnessed, and it has been inspiring to see how she has grown, becoming more deeply rooted in God and reflecting His character in her words, actions, and demeanor.
Throughout her walk, God has placed before her responsibilities that, from a human perspective, might have seemed overwhelming situations that could have made her doubt her place in His Kingdom. Yet, just like Job, she has remained steadfast, never wavering in her faith, even when challenges arose. Job 23:10 states that , “But He knows the way that I take; when He has tested me, I will come forth as gold.” This verse reminds me of her journey one of endurance, trust, and unwavering confidence in who God is in her life.
Through her steadfastness, I see a reflection of someone who knows that trials do not define her, but rather refine her, bringing her closer to God's purpose.
Beyond her faith and resilience, I am always in awe of the gift of expository preaching that God has placed upon her.
